A RIDGWAY MAN IS FACING INDECENT ASSAULT CHARGES STEMMING FROM A NOVEMBER INCIDENT AT RIDGWAY AREA MIDDLE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL.  RIDGWAY BOROUGH POLICE FILED THE CHARGES AGAINST 57-YEAR OLD DAVID WADDELL CLAIMING HE INAPPROPRIATELY TOUCHED A JUVENILE FEMALE DURING A SCHOOL FUNCTION AT WHICH HE WAS AN ADULT VOLUNTEER.  WADDELL IS ALSO CHARGED WITH CORRUPTION OF MINORS.

A BROOKVILLE MAN IS FACING CHARGES HE RESISTED ARREST DURING A PROBATION VISIT LAST MONTH.  ACCORDING TO POLICE, THE PROBATION OFFICER OF 34-YEAR OLD TIMOTHY CARULLI CONDUCTED A DRUG URINE TEST AT CARULLI’S PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT ON NOVEMBER 21ST.  DURING THAT TEST, THE OFFICER TRIED TO TAKE CARULLI INTO CUSTODY WHEN HE RESISTED AND CAUSED A SCENE.  HE WAS EVENTUALLY SUBDUED.  HE’LL BE IN COURT NEXT WEEK ON THOSE CHARGES.

A CATTARAUGUS COUNTY, NEW YORK MAN IS FACING FEDERAL MAIL THEFT CHARGES AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY TOOK 18 PIECES OF MAIL.  A FEDERAL GRAND JURY INDICTED 29-YEAR OLD BRYANT RICHARD OF ALLEGANY, CLAIMING HE TOOK THE MAIL WHILE EMPLOYED WITH THE US POSTAL SERVICE BACK IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER OF THIS YEAR.

THE FIRST HAPPENED JUST BEFORE 11:00 ON ROUTE 66 IN HOWE TOWNSHIP, FOREST COUNTY WHEN 52-YEAR OLD NIKOLA LUKAC OF KITCHENER, OHIO LOST CONTROL OF HIS VEHICLE, CAUSING IT TO ROLL OVER.  LUKAC REFUSED MEDICAL TREATMENT AT THE SCENE.

 

THE 2ND HAPPENED EARLY THIS MORNING ABOUT 12:40 ON ROUTE 219 NEAR ROCKY RUN ROAD IN JONES TOWNSHIP.  A CAR HIT AN ICY PATCH, CAUSING IT TO STRIKE A GUIDERAIL AND SPIN TO A STOP.  THE UN-IDENTIFIED DRIVER WAS NOT HURT.

ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER DROP IN GAS PRICES.  TRIPLE A’S LATEST FUEL REPORT SHOWS A 4-CENT DROP IN THE PRICE OF GAS IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA TO REST AT 2.67 A GALLON.  THE LOWEST PRICE IN HOUND COUNTRY COMES IN DUBOIS, WHERE IT AVERAGES 2.65 A GALLON.  CLARION IS IN AT 2.66.  SOME INDIVIDUAL STORES HAVE DROPPED PRICES INTO THE 2.30’S AND 2.40’S PER GALLON.

STATE POLICE SAY IT HAPPENED FRIDAY NIGHT ABOUT 11:30 ON ROUTE 255 IN HUSTON TOWNSHIP, CLEARFIELD COUNTY WHEN 50-YEAR OLD JOHN LEVANDUSKI OF RICHFIELD, OHIO LOST CONTROL OF HIS PICKUP AND STRUCK A TREE ALONG THE ROADWAY.  A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE, 64-YEAR OLD KENNETH LEVANDUSKI OF MAPLE HEIGHTS, OHIO, SUFFERED FATAL INJURIES AND WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE.  JOHN LEVANDUSKI WAS FLOWN TO UPMC ALTOONA FOR TREATMENT.  POLICE SAY NEITHER MAN WAS WEARING A SEATBELT.

MARYS, CITY POLICE ARE CHARGING A CITY MAN WITH RAPE STEMMING FROM AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION.  POLICE SAY 61-YEAR OLD HAROLD CARR IS ACCUSED OF FORCING A VICTIM INTO HAVING A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP VIA EXTORTION.  NO FURTHER DETAILS ON THE CASE WERE RELEASED, BUT CARR DOES STAND ACCUSED OF RAPE, AGGRIVATED INDECENT ASSAULT AND INDECENT ASSAULT AMONG OTHER CHARGES.

THE FATE OF DAMIAN DITZ IS NOW IN THE HANDS OF A CLARION COUNTY JURY TODAY.  LAWYERS MADE THEIR CLOSING ARGUMENTS THIS MORNING BEFORE THE JURY GOT IT’S INSTRUCTIONS.  DITZ IS ACCUSED OF KILLING HIS GIRLFRIEND, 22-YEAR OLD KATRINA SEABURN OF CURWENSVILLE, IN MARCH OF LAST YEAR.  DITZ TOOK THE STAND IN HIS OWN DEFENSE YESTERDAY, CLAIMING THE INCIDENT WAS AN ACCIDENT.  PROSECUTORS SAY IT WAS INTENTIONAL.
